Purpose
SAP Enterprise Portal personalization features enable you to focus exclusively on data relevant to your daily decision-making processes. You can personalize your portal in various ways, from determining which available content you display, to how and where you display it.
Process Flow
The following is a brief overview of the personalization options of the portal. Complete information is found in End User Guide.
Page Preferences
To set your page preferences, select the portal page you want to customize, click the Options icon in the page title bar, and select Personalizefrom the drop-down menu. The Personalize Page opens in a new window, displaying the layout and content of the selected page.
Interface
In the Personalize Page environment, the tree structure of the navigation panel displays the following two nodes:
· Personalized Page: This node lists the iViews that are presently part of the page, including iViews that have been set as hidden. You can display a hidden iView by right-clicking it and choosing Add iView to Page.
· Portal Content: The second node opens to display all the content assigned to you, allowing you to add other iViews and pages to the present page.
Options
You can perform the following to personalize your page:
· Add/Remove Content. Your portal content administrator defines the iViews to which you have access. The Portal Catalog displays all the content that is available to you. Right-click an iView you want to display in the page and choose Add iView to Page. After saving, you can see the added iView in the Personalized Page area of the navigation panel and in the content area.
¡ Additional Content. A portal administrator can obtain more iViews from iViewStudio, which then can be assigned to you.
· Arrange Content. You can select a different layout, if more are available, as well as rearrange the content displayed in the page.
After making changes to a page, and saving, it is important to refresh your portal in order to view the changes.
