Data Transfer Solution Manager - Solution Manager Diagnostics

Use

You send system information data about the system components in your solution, to the Solution Manager Diagnostics, to monitor JAVA components in the SAP Solution Manager Diagnostics.

Prerequisites

You have:

● Installed Solution Manager Diagnostics.

● made the basic settings for Solution Manager Diagnostics in the SAP Solution Manager IMG (transaction: SPRO).

● authorization to transfer data.

● made the following settings for JAVA components, in the system landscape maintenance (transaction SMSY):

...

a. Choose your system in the system landscape maintenance.

b. Flag a main instance as relevant.

c. Set the Assignment flag.

d. Choose the System Component from the possible entries help.

e. Save.

The selected component appears on the left in the overview tree.

f. Choose the link for the component.

The system goes to the System Component Maintenance.

g. Enter the relevant data in the Instances tab:

h. Enter the relevant data in the Software Components tab:

i. Save.

Procedure

Wählen ...

● Choose the transaction SMDIAG_WIZARD.

Depending on your authorizations, you could also choose:

Transaction SOLUTION_MANAGER ® Goto ® Solution Manager Diagnostics ®Transfer Solution Data.

A dialog box with an assistant, which leads you through the data transfer, appears:

○ Specify solutions to be monitored

You can specify one or more solutions.

○ Specify server-specific data

■ The Status Tooltip tells you about the status.

■ If you link to a server, you can change solution data, e.g. installation path, etc.

Result

The SAP Solution Manager passes the data to the Solution Manager Diagnostics.
