Display Alert in Solution Manager

Use

You want to see the current status of your business processes/interfaces. You want display all open, i.e. not yet confirmed, alerts, for handling.

Prerequisites

You may have changed the sequence of the alert values for your solution, which determines how alert values are passed on to higher-level objects. Choose the transaction SOLUTION_MANAGER ® Settings ® Solution Monitoring ® Analysis Hierarchy.

Procedure

Choose Create.

1. Start the transaction SOLUTION_MANAGER.

2. Choose Solution Monitoring ® Business Process Monitoring, in the Operations screen.

The business process overview of your solution landscape is displayed graphically, organized by business process, business process step, and interfaces.

The system flags only active business processes.

3. You can see the alerts in your systems and system components, in two ways:

You can see a critical business process by choosing the Symbol in front of the business process name. You can go to the business process alerts. If you choose the alert link, you go to die Business Process MONITORING session.

If you choose a business process Link, you go to the graphical view of the business processes, with their business process steps. You can navigate further from here.

The alert display in the SAP Solution Manager is the same as the CCMS alert monitoring in your satellite systems. The most critical alert for all elements of a node, is displayed. If, for example, a monitoring object of a process has a red alert, the system has a red icon.

4. Choose the alert links, to see and handle the alerts at your interfaces.

You go to the maintained analysis method of the alert, in its system.

Result

You can confirm and further process the not yet handled alerts, when you have analyzed them, e.g. in the Service Desk, to SAP or by E-mail.
