How can I restrict access rights to certain solution landscapes?

The transaction PFCG brings you to role maintenance, which is responsible for access rights. SAP provides the standard role SAP_SV_SOLUTION_MANAGER for the SAP Solution Manager. To limit the customer to specific solution landscapes, copy this role and modify it. To do that, open it and click the button Copy Role or press SHIFT+F11.

Enter a name for the new role and click Copy All. Next, open the created role and go to the tab strip Authorizations and change the authorization data. On the next screen, open the following tree elements: Basis Administration -> Authorization for Solution Landscapes.

Here you can limit the customer's access by entering customer number, system ID and installation number from your customer's solution landscape. To do this, double-click the old entry, enter the customer data and then save the data before you leave. Do not use intervals, for example (from - to) for any of those fields, please only provide specific information.
